Happy Coffee Consulting

English-speaking workshop with Sarah Metcalfe (Happy Coffee Consulting): How happy employees make happy customers

We are delighted to introduce another international workshop that will take place on September 27th, at the closure event of the International Week of Happiness at work.

Many professionals agree that the key to a company’s success is taking care of the customer. Providing the right product or service can make your customers willing to purchase. Providing the best possible customer experience makes your customers willing to come back again and again. Working on the customer journey is an important pillar in many organisations. Moreover, the key to customer happiness (and repeat business) is a focus on employee happiness.

This is one of the many tangible benefits of creating great and happy workplaces: happier employees make happier customers. And there is plenty of research to support that engaged employees are more likely to improve customer relationships, and secure an increase in sales (Gallup’s international research results mention a 20% sales increase).

For this reason, we have invited UK-based Happy Coffee Consulting to offering insights, tips and tricks to boost your employee ànd your customer happiness. In their 40 minute (English) workshop, you will be taking a deep-dive into the ‘how do I want to be treated as a customer’ mindset and leverage these insights as a key customer strategy in your own organisation.

Furthermore, you will get a whole lot of practical tips on supporting employees working in customer service. Working in this pressured environment and dealing with (dis)satisfied customers, comes with specific challenges. In this workshop, you will discover how you can create a stronger foundation for employee happiness in this exact context. You will get to understand how to better support customer service colleagues, work on their well-being, introduce flexibility where possible, and manage resilience to potential stress issues.

Happy Coffee Consulting is known for offering fun, engaging, high-energy, inspiring and above all useful content with take home ideas you can use to change your workplace tomorrow.

Dutch-speaking workshop with Leo Bormans : Get introduced to TEAM HAPPINESS

How can you make a team happy? Leo Bormans has developed a special new tool, specifically for this purpose: TEAM GELUK (translated: TEAM HAPPINESS). It is a simple game based on scientific insights and years of experience dealing with teams.

The goal of the game is to recognise, identify and strengthen all positive powers that are at play in a group of people who are working together. Its methodology is based on taking ownership and the power of positive gossip. This way, 1 + 1 equals 3. This team game with inspiring insights and simple challenges, will enhance the team spirit and boost the positive empowerment of the team and its members.

Leo Bormans has over 40 years of experience in leading and supporting all kinds of teams.  Based on scientific happiness research, he discovered a mechanism that is automatically being applied in succesful teams, and he has translated these insights in a tool that can be easily applied and leads to fast results.

During the closure event of our international Week of Happiness at Work, taking place in Brussels on September 27th, we offer you a truly unique opportunity! Workshop ‘Happy Meetings’

By English

Dutch-speaking workshop
"Happy Meetings - How to introduce a happy meeting culture in your organisation?"

At the closure event of the International Week of Happiness at Work, on Friday September 27th, participants can choose to attend 2 workshops out of a selection of 6.

This Dutch speaking workshop on ‘happy meetings’ will be led by Tryangle, an organisation that supports organisations with a wide offer of trainings and consulting on corporate wellbeing and happiness at work.

In this workshop, Tryangle will present easy to use tools and loads of tips to transform your meetings. The result? More efficient, shorter meetings and happy colleagues. You will be receiving practical examples and tools to take back to and apply in your own working environment.

Are you interested to attend this workshop?

3 tips for happier meetings

Meetings are always boring and predictable!”, “Meetings are necessary, but no one actually likes them.” These are just a few quotes about corporate meetings that may sound slightly familiar. We’re not only going to contradict these notions, we’re going to show you just how meetings can be useful, efficient and fun at the same time. You can discover more tips in our workshop, but here are already 3 tips to get you started:

Topless meeting

“Naked? I’m sorry, that’s just not going to work!” Just kidding, you will definitely be able to keep your clothes on, we’re just inviting you to leave your laptop on your desk when you attend a meeting. This way, you won’t be tempted to quickly send out an email (and another, and another,..), now you can simply focus fully on the topic at hand. Extra bonus: By not multitasking, you won’t get tired so quickly and meetings will take less time.

You can leave your hat on

Stripping? Ok, that really is one step too far!” Hmm… no need to actually strip. But have you already heard about the 6 hats meeting technique? You don’t always have to do your meetings in the exact same way. There are plenty of modern and active ways to handle meetings and that allow you to switch things up.

A happy ending !

Just imagine leaving the meeting with a big smile: you have fresh ideas and renewed energy to go about your day and get tasks done. You know exactly what is expected of you and you have had an impact on how you are going to achieve your goals. Your motivation and engagement are skyrocketing and your happiness at work has just received a big boost!

In the interactive workshop, Tryangle will explore these tips and many more, so you can implement them in your own team and organisation. Based on a number of practical examples, we’ll be offering you a matrix tool to take meetings to the next level for a more efficient result.
